A roadside bomb targeted a police armoured vehicle near a refugee camp in Domel tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district on Saturday. Initial reports said no one was hurt.
According to sources, the militant group Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP) has claimed responsibility for the attack. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Police have not issued a detailed statement, and the group's claim has not been independently verified.
Attacks on police in Bannu have continued. On the same day, the banned TTP claimed it destroyed the Gumbati police checkpoint in the district's Wazir subdivision.
