The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Wednesday, October 28, released a video claiming attacks on military posts in the Wermando Mela area of Jamrud tehsil in Khyber district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to sources, the footage shows scenes of posts being targeted, and the group claims quadcopters (small drones) and laser devices were used. However, the outcome of the reported attacks, any casualties or material damage could not be independently confirmed, and the contents of the video have not been verified.

There has been no response so far from security officials or the military's media wing, ISPR. Militant groups have long released such videos for propaganda purposes, and their claims cannot be treated as established without official confirmation.

Reports of quadcopter attacks have risen across several Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts in recent weeks. Earlier this week, an elderly man was reported killed in a quadcopter strike on a hujra in Bannu, while tension also persists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
