Forces of Yemen's internationally recognised government say they have pushed deeper into the al-Dahida mountain range in eastern al-Jawf province, a day after claiming control of the heights. In a statement on Wednesday, the armed forces said troops backed by fighter jets and drones stormed Houthi fortifications and barracks and seized weapons and military equipment.

Air and drone strikes also hit Houthi gatherings and depots at several sites, the statement said, claiming the Iran-backed group suffered heavy losses. The reported advance is part of Operation Dawn of Yemen, now in its second month. Rashad al-Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, said the operation would continue until state institutions and the recognised government's authority were restored across the country.

According to sources, a Houthi ballistic missile struck a military training camp in the southern province of al-Dhalea, killing eight people and wounding more than 15, though no official toll has been released. Houthi-affiliated media reported air strikes on a security camp in al-Bayda city and a strike on a health centre in Taiz. Yemen's Interior Minister Ibrahim Ali Haidan alleged that 21 foreign experts from Iran's Revolutionary Guard and Lebanon's Hezbollah were directing Houthi operations, a claim Hezbollah rejected as baseless.

In Saudi Arabia, civil defence authorities twice sounded early-warning sirens in the southern Najran region on Wednesday morning, after a similar overnight alert in the Riyadh region. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree denied launching any attack on Saudi territory.
