Johannesburg/Cape Town — Margalla News: At least 27 people were killed and dozens injured in two separate mass shootings in South Africa.
Police said eight gunmen opened fire at a bar in Wedela township southwest of Johannesburg, killing 17 people and injuring 15.
Authorities said the suspects were armed with AK-47 rifles and pistols and fled after setting fire to two vehicles. A large manhunt has been launched.
In a separate shooting in Lwandle near Cape Town, 10 people were killed and 11 wounded.
The motives for both attacks were not immediately clear, and police said multiple suspects were being sought.
