Afghanistan has invited Chinese and Uzbek companies to invest across major sectors of its economy. Ariana News reported that Industry and Commerce Minister Nooruddin Azizi made the appeal at a trade conference in Termez, saying recent exchanges had created new opportunities for trade, transit and investment.
Azizi listed mining, agriculture, food processing, energy, manufacturing, machinery and economic infrastructure as priority areas. He also called for better routes for Afghan exports to reach regional markets, particularly China, through Uzbek trade networks.
Government and private-sector representatives from Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and China attended the conference. No specific new investment amount or binding contract was announced, and the discussions focused on investment promotion and regional connectivity.
