Afghanistan and Kuwait have discussed opportunities to expand trade and investment cooperation. Ariana News reported that Afghanistan’s chargé d’affaires in Kuwait, Mohammad Shafiq Khatib, met Kuwaiti investor Ajeej Khalaf and other businesspeople.
The Afghan embassy said discussions focused on Afghanistan’s economic potential, available investment opportunities and stronger private-sector links. Khatib invited Kuwaiti investors to visit Afghanistan and assess projects and sectors directly.
No specific investment amount, sector-specific project or binding agreement was announced at the meeting. The talks therefore represent an early stage of commercial engagement, with individual investors expected to make separate decisions before any capital is committed.
