BAJAUR, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: According to War Monitor, Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for a shooting in Khar Bazaar, Bajaur, that killed three brothers, while the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement.
According to police, the victims — Hanif, Ibrahim and Abbas Khan — were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire. All three were taken to District Headquarters Hospital in Khar, where Hanif and Ibrahim died first, followed by Abbas during treatment.
DSP Saeed ur Rehman said police had launched an investigation into the attack.
War Monitor stressed that the Islamic State's responsibility claim and the TTP's denial have not been independently authenticated.
