A high-level economic delegation from Uzbekistan held talks with Afghan officials and business representatives on expanding trade and investment.
Reports said the delegation was led by Uzbekistan's deputy prime minister and included a large number of traders and investors.
The discussions focused on opportunities to increase bilateral trade, investment, transit and business cooperation.
Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have in recent years sought to deepen cooperation not only in trade but also in energy, transport and regional connectivity projects.
Stronger overland and commercial links with Central Asia could give Afghanistan greater opportunities to play a more effective role in regional trade.
