UAE-based HHM Global Industry Group has expressed interest in investing in the construction of a second Salang tunnel and pharmaceutical factories in Afghanistan. Ariana News reported that the proposals were discussed by the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee.
The committee welcomed the company’s interest and asked its representatives to prepare detailed proposals covering the tunnel, pharmaceutical manufacturing and other possible investment projects. Relevant ministries and agencies said they were prepared to cooperate during the review process.
No final investment value, construction timetable or binding contract has been announced. The proposals will still require technical, financial and legal review before any implementation decision is made.
