Afghanistan and Belarus discuss expanding industrial and trade cooperation

Afghan and Belarusian officials discussed manufacturing plants, tractors, industrial machinery, mining equipment and broader commercial cooperation.

Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi met Belarus’ Minister of Industry to discuss expanding industrial and trade cooperation. The talks covered the establishment of manufacturing plants in Afghanistan, regular Afghanistan–Belarus business forums and follow-up on matters raised through the bilateral economic commission.

Belarusian officials expressed interest in expanding the presence of companies producing tractors, industrial machinery and vehicles and equipment used in mining. The meeting took place during Belarus’ international industrial exhibition.
