Herat — Afghan and Kazakh officials have discussed ways to expand bilateral trade, improve transport facilities and encourage investment.
Bakhtar News Agency reported that Herat Governor Islam Jar met Kazakhstan’s special representative for Afghanistan, Yerkin Tukumov, and his delegation. The talks covered commercial links, transport facilitation and investment opportunities.
Officials cited by the report put bilateral trade in the first six months at about $581 million. The figure is presented as an official claim.
