Construction begins on $165,000 basic health center in Laghman

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health says construction has begun on a basic health center in the Karanj area of Mihtarlam, Laghman. The $165,000 project is financed by the International Organization for Migration.

The facility will have 15 rooms and is scheduled for completion within five months. Provincial health officials say it is expected to improve local access to basic healthcare services.
