Pakistan and Afghan Taliban forces reportedly exchange fire along Kurram–Paktia border

Local sources reported exchanges of fire between Pakistani and Afghan Taliban forces at multiple locations along the Kurram–Paktia border on September 27. Neither side announced casualty or damage figures in the reporting reviewed. Pakistani security sources alleged Afghan forces initiated the firing, but that assertion was not independently verified and is therefore treated as disputed attribution.
