Kabul — Margalla News: Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Works says a technical delegation led by Deputy Minister for Railways Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada held talks in Uzbekistan on the Afghan-Trans railway project and bilateral rail cooperation.
TOLOnews reported that the discussions covered feasibility studies for Afghan-Trans, the transfer of Herat-Mazar railway survey documents, development of branch lines and increased rail freight.
If completed, the Afghan-Trans project is intended to connect Uzbekistan with Pakistan through Afghanistan and serve as a major Central Asia-South Asia transit corridor.
